Worldcat is the global library holdings catalog and it can be used to see if another library has the book you want.  Click on the worldcat link below and type in the name of your book.  On the left of the screen under the filters, make sure that the print books box is the only one checked to narrow your results down to physical books only.  Click on the book title and look under Featured Libraries.  A list of the nearest libraries that carry that book should be displayed.

If you want a book from another library, COM Library can attempt to acquire it through interlibrary loan.  To do so, follow the link below to our interlibrary loan request form and fill in the required information.

Another option for books in other libraries is to acquire a (free) TexShare card from COM Library.  This card will allow you to check out books from other Texas libraries participating in the TexShare program.  You can learn more about TexShare through the link below.
