No, COM's first campus was actually at the old Booker T. Washington School in downtown Texas City until the new campus was built.

In fact we are gathering photos and documents for the history of the College and have two small albums now that show the first campus and the groundbreaking of the new (current) campus that you might want to take a look at (see links below image).
