The COM Library academic databases are a good place to begin your search.  Follow the link below to our databases guide and select a subject area to view the databases available for it.  Hot Topics would be a good place to start your search.

Most of our relevant databases are supplied by Ebsco.  In these databases, you can start with an initial search, e.g. "executive powers".  By using quotes, the search will include articles that have those words as a phrase.  narrow the search with the limiters on the left side of the screen.   First, be sure to limit to Full Text and to Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals,  Then you can further limit your search by clicking on Subject: Thesaurus Terms or Subject. Those will give you a list of topics that will help you further limit your topic. There is also an option to limit your search by date of publication.
