We have lots of articles on same sex marriage in multiple databases. The tricky part is limiting to Texas and some can't be used in this case because the articles need to be scholarly. Both EBSCO Academic Search Complete and ProQuest Reserch Library have articles you could use.

If you use the term "same sex marriage" AND Texas you will get results in both databases, but you will want to narrow down your results. In both databases you will want to limit to Full Text and Scholarly Journals. After that look under Subject to narrow down further.
