You can  go to our United States History libguide.  (link below).  There is a tab on that page to Primary Sources that will give you some information on how to identify Primary sources, and links to 3 eBooks that may be helpful to you, one of them is "Milestone Documents of American Leaders"

After you click on one of those, to read them from off campus, you need to be a College of the Mainland student, faculty or staff member.  You will need your COM ID number (all 7 digits, add leading zero if necessary) to log in.

You can use the Table of Contents to locate pertinent information, or click on the magnifying glass icon to search specific words.

You can find the citation for these books on the webpage.  Under the word Tools,  Click on the word cite, select the format you need to use (MLA or APA seem to be the most common) copy and paste. You will need to do some reformatting.  Use our Cite MLA style libguide (link below)

The Cite the Easy Way tab helps you to find the citations in the various databases.  That page also has links to Citation Generators that can help you create a citation if necessary.
