The COM Library academic databases are a good place to begin your search.  Go to the databases by A to Z linked below.  The databases are in alphabetical order, so click on 'e' to search EBSCO, 'g' to search Gale and 'p' to search ProQuest.

In these databases, you can start with an initial search for ocean pollution then narrow the search with the limiters on the left side of the screen. First, be sure to limit to Full Text and to Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals. Then you can further limit your search by clicking on Subject. Those will give you a list of topics that will help you further limit your topic. There is also an option to limit your search by date of publication.
