In order to find books, check our online catalog, One Search (link below). I searched 'mutually assured distruction' (without quotes) I found an an eBook: Cold War: the essential reference guide, and a print book: The myth of the great ending. There is a chapter in the first title, the concept is mentioned in the annotation for the second one listed.

To search for journal articles, go to the COM Library guide (link below), select from the box labeled Go Straight to the Good Stuff the link to: access our entire database list. Go to the databases by A to Z linked below.  The databases are in alphabetical order, so click on 'e' to search EBSCO, 'g' to search Gale and 'p' to search Proquest.

Go to the page labeled History and select Academic Search Complete.  Use the same search, and be sure to limit by Full Text and Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals.  Below is a link to our guide on How to search Academic Search Complete.
