When you can't think of a topic, go to the Hot Topics page in the databases guide and try there. Several of the databases have lists of topics that you can review to see what is interesting to you. Not only will you find a topic, you'll already have at least one article for your paper!

The two that will support an informative paper the best are CQ Researcher and Opposing Viewpoints:

CQ Researcher

Click on Browse Topics on the home page to see a drop down list of all the major topics covered in CQ Researcher. Clicking on any topic will result in a list of all reports available on that topic. All of these articles are great resources and very informative.

Opposing Viewpoints

Get ideas from the Browse Issues page. Access from the dark grey toolbar below the Opposing Viewpoints banner. Once you've selected a topic, you''l find a variety of sources on your topic, including videos, images, news, academic journal articles, statistics, expert picks and viewpoints.
