Start at the COM Library home page (link below), scroll down to Get Started and select A-Z Databases. Under the Subject drop down menu, select Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement. These databases will contain the most targeted information for your topic.
 
ProQuest Powersearch is a good place to start. Select words or phrases that describe what you are looking for: "not guilty", "government", "appeal" might be some to start with. Be sure to limit to Full Text and Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals.
 
Then you can further refine you search using the subject filters found on the left of the screen. A limit to criminal law may be helpful.
