Go to our databases, linked below, and select 'n' for nursing for our nursing journals.

First, try CINAHL.

Use the search phrase "registered nurses" AND "practical nurses". Practical nursing is what they call LVN's. You can copy and paste that phrase.

Limit your results to the past 5 years using the publication date option on the left.

Also select for full text.

You can limit by Geography, as well.

Also try Academic Search Complete. Search "registered nurse" AND "vocational nurse". Use the limiters outlined above.

I also found articles using "registered nurse" and "licensed vocational nurse" in Health Reference Center.

For the ob/gyn nursing article, CINAHL is your best bet.

Search the phrase  "Obstetric Nursing", then the Subject: Major Heading option in the limiter section on the left to get articles about nursing roles, employement, education, and occupational outlook. Those are all good key words. Also be sure to limit again for the date and full text.

I've also included a links to our How to Use CINAHL guide and How to Use EBSCO guide (that's for Academic Search Complete).
