Q. Does the library have any books about passing the NCCER pipefitting certification exam?

COM Library has a trades manual that has a chapter on pipefitting, but we do not carry any books specifically about this exam.  There are some books about the exam that you can view through this link.  The nearest college that carries some of them is San Jacinto College in Pasadena.  If you are a student at COM, you can attempt to acquire these books either through Interlibrary Loan or by obtaining a TexShare card.  You can learn more about these options through the Find & Get Items From Other Libraries guide, linked below.
