Without knowing your topic, I can't direct you in a specific way, but you can access anything you need from our homepage, which is linked below.
From off campus, the easiest way to get to our homepage is to bookmark the link, or from the COM homepage (www.com.edu) select Student Services from the red banner at the top of the page and select Library.
From there you will see a box on the left with a blue arrow titled Go Straight to the Good Stuff. For books, click on the Find Books in the Library link. That takes you to our catalog, WorldCat. Searching this catalog will also retrieve some eBooks.
If you want to do a more thorough search for eBooks, you can search the databases individually. In the same box, you will see links to EBSCO eBooks & GVRL eBooks.
For articles, look in the libguides box right below the Good Stuff box. Click on the Databases link. This libguide has a comprehensive list of all our databases (the 2nd tab), and also has databases organized by topic. You can explore the tabs based on your course and on the assignment.
