You can find articles on this topic by searching the library's academic databases. 

Click on the databases link below and from the Database Subject drop down menu, select Controversial Issues.  This will bring up a list of databases that have research articles on current event topics.  The Issues and Controversies database is a good one with which to start.  Click on it and do a search for citizenship and immigration.

If you are interested in getting different points of view on the issues, the Opposing Viewpoints database is a good place to get that.

A third search that may yield good results is to click on ProQuest Powersearch listed under the databases.  This will search multiple ProQuest databases simultaneously.  You can filter the results on the left hand side to get more specific on time frame, specific issues, etc.
