Q. How do I search for the topic of police suicide in your databases?

Go to the databases guide linked below.  Click on the arrow next to Databases Subjects,.select the Government page to find the best bets. Then select the EBSCO: Acdademic Search Complete link.

Search police AND suicide. The result list is very big, so use the limiters on the left to narrow it down. First, select for full text. If you want current articles, change the publication date.

Then, select the Subject Thesaurus Term option and click show more to see all the subject terms. Select the ones appropriate for your topic and hit update.

In the Geography option, select United States if you don't want articles that discuss this topic in other countries.

The other databases will be worth trying, as well. Repeat the search tips mentioned above.
