In text citations generally require the author's last name and page number in parenthesis at the end of the sentence, but there can be exceptions. Check out out In Text Citations page in out Cite MLA Style guide (link below) for more information.

Example:

Romantic poetry is characterized by the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" (Wordsworth 263).
