The ideal place to search for criticism of this story is our collection of literature databases.  To access them, follow the link to our Databases below.  In the libguide, select the 'Literature' tab.  From there you can go to each individual database, including:

Chadwyck-Healey: Literature Online: You can find some articles about this story by entering "gift of the magi" in the quick search bar on the database's main page.

EBSCO: Academic Search Complete: This is a generalized academic database that includes literary criticism articles.  In the main search window, search for "gift of the magi" (include the quotes).  After the initial search you can limit the results through the options on the left side of the results list (limit by publication date, source, full text availability, peer-review status, etc.).  You could also add the author's name to the search.

Gale Literature Resources: In this database you can search for a particular title by selecting the "Works Search" tab near the top of the screen.

GVRL eBooks: Enter the story's title in the search bar and a critical analysis of it will be at the top of the search results.
