The definitive nursing database is CINAHL ULTIMATE, but we have others as well. You can access CINAHL and all our nursing databases from the articles tab in the Nursing library guide (linked below).  

In general, the best approach is to:

  1. Perform a search on your topic.  Use the advanced search option to select the FULL TEXT and PEER REVIEWED boxes.
  2. Once you get your results, limit to the last five years using the date filter. As a nursing student you should not use anything older than 5 years.
 If you are finding there are too many to sort through on the result list, try this when doing an advanced search:
 
  • Use the drop down arrow in the search field to Select a Field - MW Word in Subject Heading or SU Subject
    Use to narrow to a specific word in the subject heading or a specific subject heading assigned to that article retrieved by your search.
