To find articles on this subject, follow the link below to our Databases libguide and select the Hot Topics & News tab.  The databases on this tab are best suited for finding articles on current events and topics that inspire lots of debate.

Facts on Files: Issues & Controversies has an entry on this topic that you can find by searching for reparations.

Gale: Opposing Viewpoints has both articles from academic journals and viewpoint articles on this issue.  Search for reparations, and then select the type of resource you wish to view from the list on the left side of the screen.

In the Ebsco databases (Academic Search Complete is the best place to start) you can do a basic search for reparations for African Americans, which will retrieve several hundred articles.  You can limit this article list through the options on the left side of the screen.  Under Subject: Thesaurus Term, you can select specific subjects that will reduce the search to a smaller and more relevant number of articles.

Alternatively, you can start your search specifically with the articles that have this subject assigned to them by entering this search string: DE "AFRICAN Americans -- Reparations".  You can also retrieve articles about reparations in general with this search: DE "REPARATIONS for historical injustices".
