You can find biographic information about Dumas in print books, eBooks, and online articles in databases.

COM Library does not have any books specifically about Dumas, but we do have some books that are collections of biographies of authors from particular areas or periods.  European Authors 1000-1900 has a fairly lengthy entry on Dumas.

As for eBooks, the eBook version of the Cliffs Notes for Count of Monte Cristo contains a multipage biography of Dumas.  Click on the eBook's full-text, open the table of contents, and select Life of the Author.

As for articles from databases, COM Library has a list of sources for biographical information in its Databases by Content libguide.  Follow the link below to the libguide and select the Biographies tab.  From there you can visit individual sites and search for information on the author.

You can also use our literature databases to find biographical information on authors.  Follow the link below to our literature databases.  Chadwyck-Healy Literature Online, Twayne's Author Series, and Scribner Writers Series all have lengthy entries on Dumas.
