The best place to start off is with the library's Nursing guide (link below).  This guide will give you a wealth of information on where to find relevant books and database articles.  Click on the Articles tab to get a list of direct links to the best databases to search.  

I would recommend click on the CINAHL+All EBSCO Nursing Powersearch as one of the first database searches you try.  Type in "Diabetic nursing" in quotes and on the resulting list, select the "Full Text" filter to ensure you get full articles only.  Use the date field to narrow down the results to within the last three years.
