I would recommend our Controversial Issues databases (link below).  I would start with Academic Search Complete and search:

television music preteens sex

It would also be a good idea to play around with other words, e.g. TV instead of television, pre-teen instead of preteen.  Consider the plural, preteens as a search option.

After your first search, on the left of the screen, limit to Full-text (so that you can read the article online) and Scholarly Peer reviewed articles to get research articles.

Two other good databases to try would be Issues and Controversies as well as Opposing Viewpoints.  There are guides for using each linked below.
