The New York Times Magazine is available online from EBSCO's Newspaper Source Plus only to 1985. The New York Times website has an archives from which articles may be accessed, many requiring a fee, but I do not see any mention of New York Times Magazine.

Many libraries have the New York Times but most do not seem to retain New York Times Magazine other than fairly recent issues. Among Galveston Houston libraries I was only able to find back to 1972.
