To get articles for Updike's A&P, try this:

  1. Go to A-Z Databases: Literary Criticism. These are the best databases for articles on literature.
  2. Select Literature & Language, it has the most articles on literature. If you are off campus a login page will pop up--just enter your COM ID and last name ot get in.
  3. Enter updike AND A&P in the search box and hit search.
  4. Using the limits in the left column, click on Subject and select literary criticism
  5. Under Source type select Scholarly Journals
  6. Now you'll just have to go through the results to find the articles you'd like to use.

FYI, to grab a citation for your articles:

  1. Click Cite on the right side of your article page.
  2. By default, APA comes up in the pop up window. To change to MLA style, click on the pull down menu and hit Change. Now you can grab the citation.
