Q. When I indent for a long quote, what do I do with the margins for the rest of my paper?

Only the block quote (long quote) would have the .5 indent. The long quote is supposed to be offset with different margins from the rest of your papers. Most of you paper, before and after the long quote, will have a 1 inch margin. Only the block quite will be inset a .5 more.
