It seems that the file on the flash drive is indeed corrupted.  Unfortunately, that means that your file cannot be opened.  The flash drive itself may be physically faulty.  Also, there could be a virus on the flash drive.  Sometimes removing a flash drive without safely ejecting it will corrupt the files.  Thus, be sure to always safely remove your flash drive before you unplug it.
