Hi Laura

Here is the response I promised you!

Go to the databases guide (linked below) .

Select the Social Sciences page from the subject drop down menu.

The top box has links to all the best databases for psychology research. In this case, select the Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection link.

Once there, enter your search term, cyberbullying, into the basic search bar. Once you have your result list, use the limiters on the left for Full Text, Peer Reviewed, and publication date.

You can also click on the Subject link on the left to see all the "official" EBSCO subject terms. Be sure to click the tiny Show More link in blue  to expand all the subject terms. Put checks in the boxes next to all the terms that pertain to your paper. Definitely select cyberbullying.

If you want to run another search, for say bullying and social media, enter it like this:

   bullying AND "social media"

The "AND" tells the database to search for both parts of the search phrase, and putting social media in ""'s tells it to search for that exact phrase. Run through the same limiting processes outlined above.

If you do want to search another database, go back to the Social Sciences page and search Academic Search Complete. Your technique will be very similar. In addition to choosing full text and peer-reviewed, choose references available.

Use the Subject Thesaurus option to limit (instead of just Subject as it was in the Psychology database). You can also limit by Geography. Click the Geography option and select United States. Expand to see all the options, because there may be individual states listed.

I've also attached a guide to using EBSCO that has screen shots, including instructions on obtaining your citations. Let me know if I can do anything else!

Erin
