Two good databases to look in for current event sources are Facts on Files: Issues & Controversies and Gale: Opposing Viewpoints.  You can find them through the link to the COM Library current events databases below.  These two databases are exclusively focused on current events and controversial issues.  Once you have identified a topic you can use these and the other databases in the list to perform research.  You can find more information about using these databases through the Opposing Viewpoints and Issues & Controversies guide links below.
