You can find books, eBooks, and database articles about this subject through COM Library.

For books and eBooks, follow the link below to the book catalog, WorldCat.  I found that searching for su:Foot habits retrieved several books that appear to discuss the relationship between diet and environment.  If you are primarily interested in this subject as it relates to the United States, you also could try searching for su: diet United States.

For articles, there are several databases that can have articles on this subject.  Follow the link below to our Databases Libguide to view the databases for various subjects.  The Social Sciences, Nursing, and Hot Topics & News tabs all have some relevant databases.

Among the databases provided by Ebsco, Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, and MasterFile Premier are good places to start looking.  A good way to start a search is with something like diet AND environment or nutrition AND environment.  After carrying out the search you can limit it with the options on the left side of the screen (Subject will be particularly useful).  You also could try limiting the search just to publications that sound relevant (for example, American Journal of Health Behavior).  Another tactic could be to search for articles relating to subtopics related to diet and environment, such as 'food deserts' (urban areas where access to nutritious food is limited).

Gale: Health Resources from Gale is another database to search.  You can start off with a search under subject for diet or nutrition, and after the search has been carried out search within the results for environment.
