To search for books, you can follow the link below to our library catalog WorldCat and search.  Searching for expectancy violation does not retrieve anything relevant.  Expanding to a search for communication theory brings up several general books about communication, some of which mention the theory (though these are primarily eBooks).

Alternatively, you can search just for eBooks by following the link below to our Ebsco eBook collection.  The benefit of this method is that you can search the full text of the eBooks in the library.  Searching for "expectancy violatio*" will retrieve some books that mention the theory.  Here's a result of such a search.  Click on a book's item record, and then click "eBook full text".  Once the book is opened, select the 'search within' option on the top right to search the text for expectancy violation or expectancy violationsHuman Communication Theory and Research and The Handbook of Communication Science both appear to discuss the theory.

For articles, follow the link below to our list of speech databases and select one to search.  Start with a search for expectancy violation theory.  From there you can modify the search with the options on the left (full-text, subject: thesaurus term, etc.)
