Q. I'd like to find an article that is in the works cited page of an article I was given in a class. How can I do that?

You can start off by searching the COM Library databases.  ProQuest PowerSearch and Gale PowerSearch are good places to start because they search a large number of databases at one time.  In the database, try entering the title of the article, in quotes.  If this does not work you could try searching under the publication page to see if the database carries the journal that the article was in.  If the journal doesn't show up, then the article won't be in the database.  

If the article is not in a database available through the library, you could try the link below to Google Scholar.  Since the article is so old, there's a possibility that it could be available for free online.  Again, try searching for the title of the article with quotes around it, and possibly add the last name of the author as well.

If you cannot find it online or through our databases, please contact the library.  We may be able to get it from another Texas college that carries different academic databases than us.
