To find information about this subject, you can search science databases for articles that are about both solar and hydroelectric power.  Click the Databases for Science link below to get a list of databases to search. 

Once in the database you can start off with a basic keyword search for 'solar and water power' or something similar, and then try to limit the results with the subject terms on the left side of the screen.  Alternately, you can use the subject page at the top of the screen to select appropriate subject headings for solar power and water power and combine them in a search.   You could also try researching the names of different types of solar technology and then search the databases for articles on each type of technology.  

You can also search our library catalog, OneSearch, for books on alternative energy sources.  Some of them may compare solar and hydroelectric power.
