You can find articles about Beowulf in our literature databases. To do so, follow the link below to our Databases LibGuide, then select the Literature tab. This will present you with a list of our literature databases. You can then enter an individual database and search for articles on Beowulf in it.
There are articles about Beowulf in EBSCO Academic Search Complete, and Gale: Literature Resources from Gale. Here are some tips for finding articles in each one:
- EBSCO Literary Reference Center
Click on Most Studied Works on the front page, then type on Beowulf. Click on Beowulf on the result list, then select Literary Criticism from the left column.
- Academic Search Complete
Enter Beowulf in the search bar. After the search has been carried out, limit the search results with the options on the left side of the screen. Limit to full-text, scholarly/peer-reviewed articles, and appropriate headings listed under the Subject tab (there’s one for Beowulf and one for Beowulf (poem)).
- Literature Resources from Gale
Go to works search, and enter Beowulf in the search bar. Select Beowulf (Traditional work).
You can get more information about using our literature databases in our How to Use Literature Databases LibGuide.
