Go to our databases guide below and then select the Health and Nursing page next to Database Subject arrow.

You are looking for a more formal research paper, so EBSCO CINAHL is probably your best bet. Academic Search Complete and Medline are also good bets.

In CINAHL, You can do a subject search for Hospice Care. Once you are in any of the above databases, click the Advanced Search page under the search bar and enter Hospice Care into the first search line. Then, from the drop-down menu, select subject. Scroll down until you see a drop down menu labeled publication type. Select Research.

At this point you can hit search. Once you have results, use the limiters on the left. You can get full text, and limit to a date range.

Be sure to limit to academic journals, references available and peer reviewed journals, if that option appears.

Once you have your results, you can examine any papers that look good to ensure that they have the elements you need. Click on any title that looks interesting. In the detailed view, the publication type will appear along with the subject headings and publicaiton info.

In the other two databases, do the subject search, then use the limiters to hone in on research papers.
