Yes, you can find both books and articles about the disaster in COM Library.

To find books, go to WorldCat (linked below) and search for su:Disasters Texas Texas City History 20th century.  This will retrieve all items in the book catalog that have had the disaster assigned as a subject heading.

To find articles, follow the link below to our Databases libguide.  Inside the guide, click on the History & Genealogy tab.  This will present you with a list of history databases you can search.  I was able to find some articles about the disaster in Masterfile Premier and Texas Reference Center by searching for Texas City disaster 1947.
