All our literature databases have articles on Beowulf. Get step by step instructions on how to use each from the How to Use Literature Databases LibGuide (see link below). 

For your particular topic I would recommend: 

  1. Go to the How to Use Literature Databases LibGuide
  2. Click on the Gale: Literature Resources from Gale tab.
  3. Type in Beowulf and select Name of Work.
  4. Once you are viewing the result list, you can search within it. In the left hand column under Search, highlight Beowulf and type in hero (using hero will get both hero and heroism in your results).
  5. Limit results to Beowulf as subject.
  6. Now you'll just need to review the articles to find the best ones.
