Articles are going to be the easiest to find. Go to Databases and select the Social Sciences tab. Facts on File has country profiles, which might provide good background information. Encyclopedia Britannica is also a good resource.

I searched EBSCO Master File Premiere for El Salvadore and children, and got some good hits. Use the limiters on the left to refine by full text, date, and subject.

I did search WorldCat for El Salvadore, but didn't find anything that directly pertains. Search that term and see what you come up with. Maybe some history and background.
