For articles, go to the Databases LibGuide and select the Hot Topics tab. I searched EBSCO Academic Search Complete for "legalization of marijuana" and got over 1000 results.

Use the limiters on the left to refine your hits. You can limit to full text, narrow the publication date, and select subject terms.

The other databases under that Hot Topics section will also be useful.

I searched WorldCat for the same term, and got several hits. A good thing to do is to select a title that sounds good, and then click on the appropriate subjet terms at the bottom to create a very targeted search. When I selected the subject Marijuana Law and legislation United States, I got six hits.
