The best database for peer reviewed articles is EBSCO Academic Search Complete. You can access it from the EBSCO Academic Search Complete page in the How to Use EBSCO guide (see link below).

Here is how to get started:

  1. After getting to the database, enter "rhetorical analysis" AND pedagog* in the search box. The * lets you retrieve pedagogy, pedagogy's, pedagogical, etc.
  2. From the result list, go Refine Your Results on the left, select peer reviewed journals and Full text and hit update.
  3. You should have several hundred articles and will still need to narrow down. Scroll down till you see Subject and click on it.
  4. Select RHETORICAL analysis and update. Now you just have articles where rhetorical analysis is a main subject and it should be a good number from which you can choose articles for your research project.
