How do I use the library databases when I'm not on campus? Do I have to log in?

Answer

Yes, when you are off-campus, you will be required to log into library databases with your last name and 7-digit COM ID (found on your ID card). If your ID number has fewer than 7 digits, add a 0 at the beginning.

Keep in mind that some last names, such as hyphenated last names, names that begin with a Mc or Mac, Jr.'s, etc., have to follow a pattern. Access the COM Library Login test page to see how to handle those types of names.

Additionally, it provides troubleshooting tips, should you have trouble even if you enter your name and ID correctly, and our contact information if you need to call for tech support.
