How do I cite this scholarly article from an open access journal I found online MLA style?
There are a couple of different approaches you can take:
- Search Our Databases
You can search our databases by the article title to see if it is listed. Even if the full text is not available in the database, it will still provide a citation. You'll just need to copy, then make sure it is formatted double spaced and with a hanging indent. Go to the Databases by Subject LibGuide to access our database (link below).
- Cite From EasyBib
EasyBib provides form that you can use to generate to create an MLA style citation for free. Go to the EasyBib box our Cite MLA Style Guide (link below) and select Journal Article>Online, Published directly online. Just fill out all the boxes in the form unitl complete, then click Create Citation.
- Cite from Scratch
You can also go to the Web Periodicals: Articles from Databases & Online box in our Cite MLA Style Guide (link below) to see the pieces of information you need to grab from the article (see The Basics) and what order it should be in. There are several examples available to guide you.
