Answer

Hi

To find articles from peer-reviewed journals on your topic, go to our Databases by Subject LibGuide, linked below. From there, click on the Education tab.

I searched Academic Search Complete (the first link). Click on that link and enter the phrase:

   learning disabilities AND reading comprehension

into the search box. Capitalizing the AND creates a boolean search, which means your results will include articles that mention both learning disabilities and reading comprehension.

From there, use the limiters on the left. Check the boxes next to Full Text, References Available, and Scholarly Journals. You can also update the publication dates by sliding the bar under the date range, if you want more current articles. To further limit your results, Click the Subject Thesaurus Term heading, then Show More to see all the subjects included. Put checks next to each box that pertains to your topic.

You can also search the Professional Development collection from the Education tab in Databases by Subject, employing the same strategies.

I am also including a link that gives detailed descriptions on using this database. It has pictures, as well, which you might find helpful.
