Q

How can I relocate a book if I don't know the title, author, or ISBN?

I have the title of a chapter of the book, and know it is about nutrition.

Answer

If you know the name of a chapter, that might be enough to locate it in the library catalog.  Many catalog records include the table of contents of books.  Try searching for the chapter title via the link to the library catalog below, and see if it retrieves any books that look familiar.  If you know the exact wording, place the title in quotes to make the search more precise.

If you can't find the book this way, then try searching for it by subject.  You can make a subject search more precise by putting su: at the front of the search.  For example, just searching for nutrition will retrieve any book with the word nutrition anywhere in the record, but searching for su:nutrition will only retrieve books that are about nutrition.
