How do I get an MLA Citation from Britannica? How do I do an in-text citation?
Scroll to the bottom of the article until you see a box labelled Citation. It defaults to MLA format. Copy and paste the citation into your Word document.
Make sure the format is correct. You might need to capitalize the article title. Make sure all the italics and "" are correct. Also make sure it is double-spaced with a hanging indent, Times New Roman 12 point font.
See the MLA LibGuide below for instructions on how to get the citation (click on the Cite the EZ Way tab) and how to make the corrections (click on the Formatting Tips and Sample Papers tab).
For a Britannica article, if there is no author, your in-text citation will just be the article title in "" (shortened if it's a long title) because there is no page number. See the In Text Citations tab for examples.
