How do I get an MLA Citation from Britannica? How do I do an in-text citation?

Answer

Scroll to the bottom of the article until you see a box labelled Citation. It defaults to MLA format. Copy and paste the citation into your Word document.

Make sure the format is correct. You might need to capitalize the article title. Make sure all the italics and "" are correct. Also make sure it is double-spaced with a hanging indent, Times New Roman 12 point font.

For a Britannica article, if there is no author, your in-text citation will just be the article title in "" (shortened if it's a long title) because there is no page number. See the In Text Citations tab for examples.
