Q

Can I use the auto-citation feature from Ebsco for articles I find somewhere else online?

The article is in an Ebsco database, but the full text is not available through it. I found the full text through a general internet search.

Answer

You can use the auto-citation from Ebsco in this situation, but you will need to change the part that specifies where you found it online.  For instance, here is an auto-generated citation for an article from Ebsco database Academic Search Complete:

Rybak, Christopher, and Megha Deuskar. "Enriching Group Counseling Through Integrating Yoga Concepts And Practices." Journal Of Creativity In Mental Health 5.1 (2010): 3-14. Academic Search Complete. Web. 2 May 2013.

You should change the part that says Academic Seach Complete to the name (not the URL) of the web site where you found the text of the article.
