Articles about this subject can be found in the library's EBSCO databases.  Follow the link below to the EBSCO database portal, and select both Academic Search Complete and MasterFile Premier (you can search both at the same time).

In the databases, I found some articles about this topic by entering this in the search bar:

(DE "special effects (motion pictures)" OR DE "COMPUTER-generated imagery") AND DE "motion picture industry"

After the search, limit to full-text through the options on the left; you'll be left with about 140 articles.

You could broaden the search by just searching with DE "SPECIAL effects (Motion pictures)" OR DE "COMPUTER-generated imagery" , but this will retrieve a lot of articles that just discuss the effects in a particular movie and don't discuss how effects are impacting the industry in general.

There are also some eBooks available through the library that discuss movies and the special effects industry.  To find them, follow the link below to our eBook collection, and search for DE "Motion picture industry" AND "special effects".
