Does the library have any books about military history between the 15th and 19th centuries?

I would particularly like books about military tactics.

Yes, books about this topic are available at the library. To view books about military history for a particular century, go to our library catalog WorldCat, through the link below, and search for su:military history and a particular century (ex. su:military history 16th century).

Alternatively, you could search for books about particular wars that occurred during this time period (the Revolutionary War or the Civil War, for example). The library has several books on each of the major wars of this time period, and some of them focus primarily on their military campaigns. For example, Patriot Battles : How the War of Independence Was Fought is about the military aspects of the war and analyses the tactics of individual battles.
