Do you all happen to have access to these journals? Community College Journal of Research and Practice and Community College Research Review.
Answer
We don't have full text to either journal, but we can get specific articles on Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for you:
ILL
COM Library offers Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to the students, faculty and staff of College of the Mainland. ILL basically involves COM Library requesting materials from other libraries. Keep in mind that ILLs can take 2-6 weeks. It can take longer depending on availability and other factors, and there is no guarantee that you will get the item requested. Requesting ILLs during summer sessions is generally not practical. There is no cost to the patron. If the only way to obtain an item is for a fee, COM Library will contact you to inform you of the cost, and ask how you wish to proceed.
Meanwhile, there are quite a few articles in EBSCO if you'd like to check them out (all full text online): https://ezproxy.com.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=a9h&db=tfh&bquery=(SU+(college+students))+AND+(SU+(COMMUNITY+colleges+OR+Junior+Colleges))+AND+(retention+OR+COLLEGE+dropouts+--+Prevention+OR+STUDENT+attrition+OR+PERSISTENCE)&cli0=FT&clv0=Y&type=1&site=ehost-live&scope=site. You can further tweak the search using the options on left side of the result list.

All these question are answered by real COM Library staff, so we can only answer if we're open.
