I need to write a paper for my speech class. Where can I get some ideas for a topic?

The topic doesn't have to be related to speech.

COM Library has a Speech guide that links you to some good places to find ideas for research papers. Follow the link below to view the guide. Two databases available through the library, Facts on Files : Issues and Controversies and Gale : Opposing Viewpoints, are great places to start because they contain overviews of current events and issues that are suitable for research papers. After you have selected your topic, you can try other databases like those available from EBSCO to find more research material, or look for books and eBooks.
