Where can I find some articles that discuss the prevalence of hypertension?
Answer
Follow the link below to our Databases by Subject guide and select the Nursing tab, then select a database to search. The most efficient way to search the databases is to select All Health, Nursing, and Medical Databases, which will search all the Ebsco databases in the list.
In the database, you can start with a search for hypertension prevalence or, if you're interested specifically in rates in the U.S., hypertension prevalence United States. From there you can limit the search through the options on the left side of the screen (full text, date of publication, subject, etc.).
In Gale: Health Reference Center Academic, you can try the same query in a basic keyword search. After the search has been done you can refine it through the options on the left, or by entering additional search criteria on the left-hand search bar and select the search within results box. Alternatively, you can do a subject heading search. To do this, go to Subject Guide Search, then search for hypertension. Hypertension will be the first result at the top. You can then select Subdivisions to see more specific topics concerning hypertension. One of these, Statistics, retrieves several articles that are in some way related to hypertension prevalence.
