How can I check to see if the MLA citations I made are correctly formatted?
Answer
You can double-check by comparing them to the citation rules in our Cite MLA Style Libguide, linked below. You can also visit one of the numerous sites online that automatically create citations, and compare your citations to those generated by these sites. Google Scholar, Ebsco databases available through the library, and citation generators like Son of Citation Machine are all options for this. You can look up the articles you are citing in the databases and select their automatic citation options, or enter the necessary information into a citation generator. You can get more information about these options through the Cite MLA Style Libguide, in the Cite MLA the EZ Way! tab.
